Glebe House, in the romantic and historic county of Somerset, is the perfect location for a relaxing long weekend, a mid week break, or a holiday at any time of the year. Set in a stunning pastoral landscape, Glebe House is a charming family residence, which was previously a rope and sail making mill, as well as a church property.
With plenty of character, this delightful bed and breakfast has three gorgeous guest bedrooms that are spacious, airy, and furnished with period pieces, to make your stay all the more sublime. Choose from: The Bishops Room; The Kings Room; and Miss Caley's Room. No matter which of these delicious rooms you choose, you will find each one beautifully appointed with an en-suite, TV, and a complimentary selection of hot beverages and snacks to make you feel at home.
All the guest rooms are south facing, and capture the best of the views out across the gardens to the countryside beyond. The Bishops room can be configured as a twin or super king size bed, plus the room also has a sofa.
The Kings Room takes its title from the single bed in the room, which was slept in by King George VI, during his stay on HMS Vanguard: The room also includes a twin or super king size bed combination, and is ideal for families. Miss Caley's Room has a delightful king sized bed, and is charmingly presented.
Naturally a mouth-watering full cooked English breakfast is included in your stay. The ingredients for your breakfast are locally sourced and include duck, chicken or bantam eggs from Glebe's own menagerie! The menu also includes bread made in the local village or more often than not home-made, and local single variety apple juice. Simply divine!
Guests will be delighted to note that Glebe House offers free accommodation for guests dogs in their own Kennels, although space is limited, so it's best to book in advance! Somerset is a stunning county, and Glebe House provides mountain bikes for the use of guests, so they can take full advantage of it.
